Palm Sunday 2017

Joyous procession

For the Palm, Sunday service in the Sanctuary, church members joined the choir and children from Sunday School in a parade that went out the back door of the church, wrapped around the building, entered the front door into the Narthex and then procceded into the Sanctuary.

At the back of the procession was Jesus, portrayed by Terry Keezer, smiling at the children and bowing in reverence as palms were waved in his direction.

“Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord”

The procession ended in front of the altar with Jesus standing on a large “garment,” placed at his feet by the children who had created it in Sunday School.

Thank you to Choir Director Faith York and Sunday School teachers Deanne Burr and Carol Hubbard for this uplifting beginning to the Palm Sunday service.
