Sunday School

2009-10 Sunday School Superintendent Team: Carol Hubbard, Laura Young Connelly, and Ruth Dufresne

2012-2013 Sunday School Superintendent Team: Carol Hubbard, Laura Young Connelly, and Ruth Dufresne

Consider teaching a Sunday School class

(Schedule of Sunday School classes)

Once again this year, volunteer teachers are needed for Sunday School classes. Sunday School Superintendents Ruth Dufresne, Carol Hubbard and Laura Young Connelly will be teaching many of the classes, but volunteers are always needed to assist and, in some cases, to teach individual classes.

If you are interested in teaching a class or classes, contact one of our three superintendents.  You can reach Ruth Dufresne at 799-1959 or by e-mail at dufresne@maine.rr.com

Volunteers are needed every week to assist the assigned teacher, but we also are looking for volunteers to teach a single class for which none of the regular teachers is available.

Please consider volunteering.

Click on the above link for the Sunday School schedule  to see each week’s lesson.

This year's Sunday School classes have combined all school-age children.

Ruth Dufresne teaches one of the Sunday School classes last year.

A nursery still will be available for pre-school children.

The Sunday School curriculum is fully explained in a guidebook that will be provided for anyone willing to volunteer as a teacher. The guidebook clearly explains everything that can be done with many options. It also explains each lesson in detail so that no one needs to be concerned about knowing each story from the Bible that might be used. The guidebook also offers plenty of suggestions for hands-on activities, including the use of puppets, which were very popular this summer.

When either Ruth, Laura or Carol ask you to volunteer as a teacher, please consider serving. It always works best  if anyone volunteering can do so for a month, because it more easily corresponds with the way the curriculum is set up. But if you can volunteer for only a week, that would be much appreciated, too.
